Street Haven’s Supportive Housing program offers accommodations for 32 women in three different locations in downtown Toronto, each with a varying degree of staffing based on the clients’ needs. Through these locations, women who are recovering from trauma, mental wellness challenges or substance abuse issues, learn to set their own goals, live independently and become active members of the community. The Transitional Housing Program has 98 rent-geared-to-income bachelor apartment units where individual adults can stay for up to 11 months. There are 2 floors for women and 4 for men. This program is designed to give residents an opportunity to move past the points of marginalization which accompany homelessness, under-housing, unemployment or addictions issues.
