I confirmed that with sports broadcaster Dave McClurg on Monday night. As always, fans can expect great coverage by Smooth Magic’s sports broadcaster, Dave McClurg. Fans can also tune in on the internet at Smooth Magic 107 at their official station website. Smooth Magic 107.1 will be in Kimball next Thursday, April 30th, for the CMC double-header between the Jaguars baseball team and the Cubs. The 7th grade baseball team travels to Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg for a game at 4:15 on Friday. The Jaguars fastpitch team travels to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted for a double-header on Thursday. The Lakers finish 20-3 in fastpitch while the Bulldogs improve to 17-5. After losing their season opener to Paynesville Area, Minnewaska reeled off 20 wins in a row, dispatching Sauk Centre 10-0 in the sub-section opener before falling to Rocori 13-3 in the semi-finals on Tuesday. After the Lakers staked a 5-0 lead, NL-S sent 14 batters to the plate in the sixth inning to take a 9-5 lead. In baseball action in Section 6AA, the NL-S Wildcats knocked Minnewaska Area out of the playoffs in the single-elimination round, winning 12-11 in 7 innings. The Junior High (7th/8th) grade baseball team travels to Benson for a 4:30 game on Thursday.
The game will be held in Kerkhoven at their high school baseball diamond. Will the donor-based seating be expanded into other areas? So, always show respect for your teachers and coaches and they in-turn will show respect for you. Coaches that coach a team up, year after year, despite graduating talent – check. The Jaguars boys golf team travels to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle for a golf meet at 9:00am on Friday. The Jaguars boys golf team travels to Osakis for a dual meet at 4:15 on Thursday. The Pierz Pioneers football team is 32-1 in the past six seasons on their home football field. While Tuesday night’s first round of the playoffs bring plenty of great match-ups, including Pierz hosting West Central and Little Falls traveling to Rocori, I find myself licking my chops over the thought of another helping of Royals vs. At least a first round win. First pitch is set for 4:00pm at Elrosa. Royalton football game that’s set for the Section 6A opener next week in Upsala. They will host West Central Area (who beat the Jaguars 20-7 in Week 1) for the Section 6AA opener next Tuesday night. Yeh I’m biased, of course, hoping for success of Central Minnesota Conference teams.
You don’t need to been a Sloan Conference panelist to know that is bad. The bad news — they went to the Champs last year. The Bulldogs football team went 2-8 the first year before going 8-2 in 2008. They fell 42-16 to Royalton in the Section 4A semi-finals last October. We have to have some cupcakes, so it might as well be Army instead of a random MAC team. I don’t have the guts to pick a winner between the Royals and the Patriots. In tonight’s game at Eden Valley, the score was 1-1 after 7 innings, a figure that held up until the 13th inning, when Paynesville plated 2 runs to pick up the win. They may be a different team than the one who fell 76-43 on January 20 to the Jaguars, as they beat Eden Valley-Watkins 58-39 two nights later in Holdingford. The Junior High (7th-9th) track team travels to Sauk Centre for a track meet at 4:15 on Friday. Also in Section 4A is the coop team of Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity from the Hutchinson/Winsted area. In a surprise move, the Jaguars football program will move east for the next two seasons of playoffs, being a new member of Section 4A. This section stretches from B-B-E eastward, into the Metro Area to include a number of small private schools.
The Osakis Silverstreaks fell to Maple Lake in the Section 5A-West championship game today at Minnewaska Area High School. Thanks to recent advances in women’s sports health the women of today can take part in about any sport NHL Apparel and Hats do it safely. The fans of the game will be able to be the part of the watcher of the play ground. And now, football fans are about to get a second dose of Royalton vs. But, most of all, this match-up comes down to the fans in the stands who travel to support their small town teams. Perception is just misplaced because the teams that have succeeded include Wake, BC and VT, and not Miami or FSU. The Jaguars have a good shot at being competitive in this section, just as they have been in Section 5A since joining Class A in for the 2001 football season. The Jaguars are searching for their first win in CMC play, hoping to improve on their 1-3 overall record, 0-3 in the league. Even though this is the first time since the 1990s that Osakis sits around .500 this late in the season, they still are dangerous and will present a challenge to the Jaguars.
