Miles Teller was spotted enjoying a vape break while on the set of the upcoming miniseries The Offer about the making of the classic 1972 film The Godfather.

The 34-year-old actor puffed on a vape and chatted with a colleague as he stood on the sidewalk in Hollywood.

The Whiplash star donned a baby blue ruffled dress shirt and a mahogany brown suede tuxedo when he was seen on Monday.

The Pennsylvania native sported light brown suede shoes and slicked his short brunette hair back with gel.

Written by Escape At Dannemora co-creator Michael Tolkin, The Offer details the backstage drama during the making of the seminal movie.

Miles stars as producer Al Ruddy who won an Oscar for the film. Juno Temple plays his assistant Bettye McCartt who helped him fend off threats from the real mafia.     

The Godfather was based on a novel of the same name, whose author Mario Puzo helped director Francis Ford Coppola adapt the screenplay.

They faced fierce opposition from the mafia, including the advocacy group the Italian-American Civil Rights League founded by mob boss Joe Colombo. 

‘It became clear very quickly that the mafia – and they did not call themselves the mafia – did not want our film made. We started getting threats,’ Bettye said.

Al was informed by the LAPD that the mob were following his car and so, to throw them off the scent, he would switch vehicles with his employees.

Bettye told  about one night when she drove his car back to her house – and after she left the automobile its windows were shot.

She recognized the gesture as ‘a warning – to Al’ and added that there was a note on the dashboard warning him not to complete the picture.

Al eventually managed to strike a deal with Joe Colombo that involved deleting the sole use of the word ‘mafia’ from the screenplay.

Joe himself was later shot by a hitman at a League rally – which Ruddy was asked to attend but had been warned off of  – and survived.

The cast of The Offer includes Matthew Goode as the troubled but charismatic producer Bobby Evans and Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola.
